SaaS and Stacks is free to read. It stays free because some of the links on this site are affiliate links.
If you click one of those links and end up paying for the tool, the company pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way — affiliate links never make software more expensive, and in some cases they carry a discount the company only offers through partners.
That’s the whole arrangement. No paywall, no sponsored posts sold to the highest bidder, no pay-to-play rankings.
What an affiliate link looks like here
Affiliate links on this site run through our own domain and look like this:
saasandstacks.com/go/toolname
Every page that contains one says so at the top, before you reach the first link. You will never have to hunt through a footer to find out whether we’re being paid.
What the commission does not buy
Companies pay us when a reader buys. They do not pay us for a good review, a high ranking, or a place on a list.
In practice that means:
- We recommend tools that don’t pay us at all when they’re the better answer. Several of the tools named across this site have no affiliate program, or one we’re not part of.
- We name the things a tool does badly, including tools that pay us well.
- We don’t accept payment in exchange for a specific score, position, or wording. If a company offers, we say no and, where it’s relevant, we tell you it happened.
- Commission rates play no part in how we rank anything. The tool that pays the most is frequently not the tool we recommend.
Which companies pay us
We disclose our affiliate relationships on each page where they apply, next to the tool being discussed.
If something looks wrong
If you think a recommendation on this site is compromised, tell us. Write to hello@saasandstacks.com and say which page and why. We’d rather fix it than defend it.
